If all you want is some good fried seafood, this is your place. Fried fish, french fries, hush puppies, fried clam strips, fried shrimp....you name it, they fry it. And although it'll do a number on your arteries, everything tastes quite good. Service is prompt and friendly.

Good selection of seafood, but the cook doesn't use much seasoning which means the fried food doesn't have much taste.

Wife and I own a home in the area, get there on average once a year for about 2 weeks. Love, Love this place we usually average 2-3 visits a trip. Considered "florida food" catfish, snapper, gater... My first visit I had fried gator nuggets and everytime I return it's must, and the cole slaw fantastic, and I don't eat cole slaw anywhere else. And their sweet tea. wow a southern classic at most places but here it's on a whole other level!!! I can't say enough about this place. Great southern atmosphere!!! Try it once you'll love it...

We came here with our starving bellies after ziplining nearby. We ordered from their lunch special menu which was all under $10, super cheap for the amount of food and freshness. The fried catfish or whatever seafood you ordered came with 2 sides + hush puppies. I've never had hush puppies as good as their's before and adding honey to it make it real delicious. The freshness of the food and the quantity at the price you pay for is outrageously cheap! Go during their lunch specials, it's such a great deal and you'll leave feeling satisfied and full.

I've been eating at this truly down home local eatery now for a good 17 years. The anteroom is filled with memorabilia and t-shirts, but you're seated real fast as a rule. Tables and chairs only, I do believe. The place is sizable - one big main room, another one or two for parties. Bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient, a few outstanding. The Catfish Place's senior, early bird (4 to 6pm), and Monday-thru-Wednesday twofers (for $14.99) are incredible, 'specially the last which gives two adults a full-size entree and two sides (beverage extra). The regular menu includes just about everything, including, I hear, the best burger in town (though that's one entree I've never tried). The big seafood platters are awesome - fried (best) or grilled gator tail (yum), turtle, catfish, shrimp, clams, etc. All-you-can eat catfish is another favorite. Salads are crispy (shrimp salad platter is brimming with 'em last time I had it for lunch), soup seems homemade (gumbo's outrageous), entrees and sides are fresh-cooked to order. Dessert selection is small and reflects their size. Coffee's very drinkable. Parking lot is a good size and there's street parking too if you arrive after 5pm to enjoy those twofer deals. So come real casual and sit a spell; you might even dress up and wear your Stetson. Just note that you might blend in. P.S. You can buy gator by the pound here to take home, and it's pretty darn reasonable at times. The at-home homeless man, when "patroling," demands ATM cards. Just tell him you deal in rubber duckees. He doesn't want a meal ... trust me.

This place is great if you like fried seafood. I ordered the House Special where you can try catfish, gator, turtle, frog legs, clams, oysters, etc...They were all lightly breaded and well cooked. They were just right coated in batter and tasted fine. They were not greased at all. However, the french fries were not so good. They were more greasy and some of them were burnt and could not be eaten. Our waitress was very nice and honest. We had order chicken noodle soup and she told us that it was from a can that day just so we were aware about it. We did not order it and thanked her for her honesty.

The Catfish Place is hands down one of the best seafood restaurants in the Kissimmee/St. Cloud area. I've been eating at this restaurant for over 10 years now and it still is one of my favorite places to go. Don't let the name fool you, while the catfish is great here, there is a large variety of other types of seafood to pick from (shrimp, scallops, snapper, flounder, to name a few). With your fish you'll get fantastic sides, including out-of-this-world hush puppies. I would recommend going at lunch time since this is when you'll get the best value. Its a favorite among the locals for good reason.

Catfish, turtle, frog legs, shrimp, gator, and hushpuppies at their finest! No wonder they've been in business 42 years. They have Southern food dialed in. It's just too bad we live in Idaho or we'd eat here more often.

I got to try turtle and gator! The owners and locals are probably going, 'woo hoo, how amazing' (of course that is said dripping with sarcasm) but I find it a great adventure trying things you've never tried before. And for the record, they were both good though the gator was better. Also for the record, although good they didn't much taste like anything unique. Gator was kind of like chicken and turtle was like tough beef bits. Other things I got to try were fried green tomatoes (yum), catfish (huge portions!), crab, shrimp, etc. The food here was pretty good and I enjoyed the local atmosphere. Right up my alley. Give this place a try. It'll be fun.

Me and my family were in Kissimmee at our timeshare and were in the mood for fried fish for lunch. I Yelped it and we decided to try this place based on the reviews and pics. Plus it was on Highway 192 (Irlo Bronson Highway) which made it easy to find! Well it was fantastic! Our party of five was treated like family the second we walked in the door! We were immediately seated, our order was taken, and our food arrived so fast none of us could believe it. We are an eclectic group and all our choices reflected it. We had Fried Green Tomatoes A+, Fingerling Catfish (bone-in) A+, Catfish (no bones) A+, Fried Lobster A+, Fried Shrimp A+, Corn Chowder A+, Hushpuppies A+, Coleslaw A+, and Sweet Potatoes A+. My cousin was not enamored with her Crinkle Cut French Fries, but who gives a damn when everything else was so glorious! I skipped breakfast that a.m. so I was very hungry, but the portion was so large I could not finish it and none of my family could finish theirs either. Doggie bags all around and more food ordered to go, so we could enjoy the deliciousness later in the day! The check for all of us was under $75, which was a miracle considering the quantity of food, sodas, and the three beers we ordered! What a great discovery and the beginning of a new tradition when we come to Kissimmee!

3 words: AA - MAY - ZING!!!!!!!! The food was spectacular and I couldn't get enough of it. First start off with fried frog legs, they're so delicious. Then the nice ice cold beer. Last get a great traditional entree with some amazing home made sauces, blue cheese was my favorite. The food variety here was unbelievable, there was so much to choose from! Fried chicken, fried clams, fried scallops, fried fish, fried gator and turtle. Everything here was so good, and the service was excellent. Ask them for recommendations because they know all the good stuff. The place had a mini gift shop that was just so cute. I also loved all the fried lobster! Overall my experience was 5 stars! Great place for company parties, grad parties, family get togethers, or even a nice meal after Sunday's mass.

Man o man don't I love myself fried food. I mean who doesn't? I came with my brother during lunch and it wasn't so packed. I've been here before and had to wait about 15-30 minutes, but that was during dinner hours. Whether you have to wait or not, the place is worth it! You are served with big portions and great service. There is a section for private parties if need be. If you love southern comfort food you will not be disappointed.

My family was recently vacationing in Kissimmee, and my mom thought that we should really try gator while we were in Florida, so after yelping it, we decided on the Catfish Place for lunch. I loved the home-iness of this place! Our waitress was the kind of lady who calls everyone "honey" or "sweetie" and was super nice and helpful! We ended up ordering tons of food! We got the fried seafood platter with Gator, Turtle, and Frog Legs; the 2-for-16 deal with the Chicken Livers and the Boneless Catfish. For sides, we tried the Hush Puppies, Cole Slaw, Veggie of the Day (Collard Greens), Corn, Fried Green Tomatoes, Sweet Potato Fries, Baked Sweet Potato, and Mashed Potato. Everything was delicious! Especially with their Tiger Sauce (a wasabi and mustard based dipping sauce). The batter of the fried stuff was perfect, it got a good coat of batter, but was still light enough that you were still able to taste the essence of what you were eating. Although, I did start to feel bad eating the turtle after a while. The gator was almost like a fishy chicken, but really good! The catfish was wonderful - it could have easily been the highlight of the meal if we didn't have such exotic things to try. We finished our meal with their Key Lime Pie - hands down the best Key Lime Pie I've ever had in my life. We ordered a slice to share (we were all stuffed by the end of the meal), but we ended up ordering another one because it was that good! Anyways, the food was enough to earn 5 stars - such interesting and delicious dishes - but the lovely service we got really puts this place above and beyond.

The food and service were very good. For a busy Saturday night we got out relatively quickly. The gator, turtle and catfish were all very tasty. I thought the frog legs were excellent. Best hush puppies I've ever had. Not as dry as usual with a hint of sweetness. Will definitely be back.

We had just viewed swamp-life aboard Spirit of the Swamp (excellent, btw) and were famished so headed here at the behest of our gracious Captain Andy. One thing about Florida, be prepared for deep-fried EVERYTHING and since we are on vacation, this once-dieting gal didn't mind. We loved it here especially because of the excellent service. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and called everyone "sweetie." She was right out of a scene from "Mel's Diner," charming and hometown-y. Mi familia, numbering 10 people including a grumpy 3-year-old, really enjoyed our afternoon meal here today. We had gater nuggets, fried green tomatoes, catfish, hush puppies, tilapia with sides of mashed potatoes (OH HOT HEAVEN, IT WAS SMOOTH AND CREAMY), corn on the cob, fries (both regular and sweet variety), and a number of other mouth-watering treats. BUT the best part of all were the four desserts we shared. We couldn't decide which was the best among the peach cobbler, the sweet potato pie, the chocolate pie, and the apple dumpling--all a la mode of course cuz that's how we roll. The bill was all of $140 for the 10 of us, piddly for the amount of food we had, the tastiness factor, and of course, said amazing server. We glad we found this place, and thanks Cap'n Andy!!!

I love this place! The food is excellent I have probably been 10+ times either get the girlled chicken breast or the catfish (no bones). The staff is so friendly and attentive. It has a very southern atmosphere and you don't feel like you're in the disney hub at all. Have to get the hash browns they are delicious. All around great experiences every time we go.

I'm surprised by the raving reviews. I went here for lunch with my family. The lunch menu doesn't have the culinary adventures of the dinner entrees, its basic fried southern seafood. It took a really long time for our food to come. Everyone said the scallops were the worst they've ever had. Overall, the food was okay or bad. The catfish wasn't too flavorful. The only real treat from here is the hush puppies, they're near perfect. Bottom line: this place is a small step above Long John Silver's and offers sub-par decor and service.

I'm from California, my husband from Florida. So needless to say, this food was new to me, but it was great. I was able to try gator, turtle, frog legs, and hush puppies; all wonderfully prepared. I had the sampler plate (which could have been shared by three people easily) and it included fried scallops, clams, oysters, catfish, shrimp, gator, turtle, frog legs, and hush puppies!! All great! The wait staff was great and outgoing. We had a great time.

I love the catfish place! It's my favorite place to eat. The customer service is always great. They treat you like family. The portions are big and shareable and the oil that they fry things in is never rancid. The food is delicious and fresh and the sweet tea is cold and yummy! They're great with kids too!

Having a late lunch with families and friends. We decide to eat at whole one wall place. I order fried pickles and lobster. Great fried foods but then, I decide to eat Southern fried chicken. I was disappointed on the flavourless and dried chicken. The service and ambiance was great.. Great family restaurant with home feeling.

Amazing service!!!! Fantastic food!!!!! If you're look for southern local cookin this is the place. "Tall" Lisa was amazing... I'd love to bring her back to Southern California and have her teach servers how to do their job! A true professional and made all the difference in my experience. This place has been cookin catfish for 42 years, I was told, and I know exactly why.

Just went after all the positive reviews. I don't get it! Maybe these reviewers are easy to please or just like fried seafood. You can get fried seafood just about anywhere and once it's fried it all tastes the same. I've lived in the area the last 2 years so I thought it's time to try this place. Our waitress had ZERO personality. A total turn off. Not friendly. Never cracked a smile. Miserable actually. I guess it's my fault for ordering steak at a seafood joint. The steak was $22 I was hoping it was good. It was HORRIFIC. It was even a bizarre shape. Not normal and it was DEFINITELY NOT a delmonico. It was the cheapest nastiest, thawed out cut of steak I've ever had. My husband tasted it and said to send it back. But I hate sending things back because of repercussions. Asked for real butter for my baked potato. She looked at me like I was crazy and said she could get me a margarine spread. I said I already had the margarine blend on my plate, no thanks. My steak came w/ 5 fried shrimp. They were actually good for fried shrimp. But beware mostly everything is fried which to me makes everything taste the same. Over $50 for 2 people (no drinks or appetizers or dessert) was about $35 too much for this. The quality of that meat is the worst I've ever had. It made a Ponderosa steak look like GOLD.

This place was just reopened after being shut down by the health dept for cockroaches. Id avoid it like the plague. If you want fried fish, go to long john silvers instead. I'd put zero stars if I could since 1 is too many.

Referred to this place by a local. The hush puppies were the best. The fried battered catfish and shrimp were also very very good. The portion of coleslaw is a lot more then you get at most places.

Last day before the long road trip back home..heard this place is well know for Florida southern food so had to try it out to see what it is all about ...they serve mainly deep fried seafood ...EVERYTHING was pretty much fried ... The portion was pretty big there was defiantly leftovers...I was with my whole family so we got four different types of entrees.. All entrees comes with two sides from the sides menu and hush puppies.. the hush puppies were really bland and hard i didn't like it at all... I got the boiled scallops with mashed potatoes and corn the mashed potatoes had a liquid texture which I didn't like at all... The corn was good! Sweet buttery...the scollops tasted like sea water ..ugh ..next entree deep fried cat fish had that hard core fish smell ...gosh...got Turtle meat which was some what ok ..fried of cores and gators tail...really bland and tangy... The sides and food was mediocre...but the service and the prices was great all that food came out to 30 bucks...the place was packed...but still didn't have an issue with service which was cool!

Was recommended this place from our airboat tour guide and we wanted to try some "Florida food" since we were on vacation and have a group of adventurous eaters. We tried the gator, turtle, catfish and frog legs. I also had the shrimp. Interesting and good, though still a little weird for me! The staff was nice too.

Why have I passed this place by for so long?? I drove past The Catfish Place many times. I always commented how busy it was. But, I never stopped in. I'm not a fan of catfish. Well, I was missing out. We decided to try it and it was great. Prices are reasonable, portions are huge and the food is great!!! I am a fan! I had the shrimp and scallops - amazing! It says that they bread them all in house. You can tell! And so fresh! They have a lot of things on their menu that you don't see elsewhere - turtle, alligator, frogs legs...

I had the best snow crab I've eaten in a very long time here tonight.. Extremely generous portions ~ hot food is served piping hot, cold good is well chilled & crisp. Hubby said his catfish was the best he's ever eaten! It's a bit out of the way, from Orlando, but well worth the drive. Clean restrooms & courteous waitstaff make this a must do for us next time we're in Florida!

Fried alligator, turtle, frog, and catfish? If you're looking for a southern style hootenanny, look no further. Catfish Place is a hole in the wall, serving some of the best swamp food you can find. Friendly staff, only knock is that it was it was impossible to find.

If you like good southern fried catfish, you'll love this place. Good and very friendly customer service. Hush puppies were crispy and sweet, pork chop was juicy, fish was fresh and not fishy. I am very please. The waitress checked on us frequently to make sure we were happy. I will go back again to try other items, soon!

Looking for a great local place...this is it! My family loves this place and yes everything can be fried but you can also get everything broiled too. I love it both ways. If you are looking for fancy fine dining then this is NOT the place. But if you are looking for simple fantastic food at a great price with super friendly service. .you have found the right place. Also they do take out

I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed! I love the fried shrimp!! The breading was light and shrimp were perfectly cook...not greasy in any way. Catfish was good but I've had better. 3 hush puppies come with every sea food order and are amazing...crispy yet light & fluffy on the inside. They also offer burgers, chicken and a few other options for non seafood eaters. Service is friendly and quick. Will definitely go again!

Don't let the outside fool you. This has got to be the best seafood place in at least a 50 mile radius. If you like fried oysters you'll find the best you've ever tasted here. The gator, scallops, shrimp and catfish are delicious too. The atmosphere isn't something for a romantic date but the food definitely makes up for it!

  • Robert P.

Fantastic fried fish. Some of the best gator I've ever had. Also had the turtle and of course catfish. Both of which were tasty. The catfish was some of the best. I have one thing to say to some of the negative reviews is that when you come expect fried food. Its how they cook here. The mashed potatoes my wife had were not runny what so ever. While the decor is kitchy and dated it does add to the atmosphere and home grown feel. The place is clean and well kept. The service was great and perfect for such a place. Not an every day eatery but I will be coming back.

The Catfish Place has been a Saint Cloud landmark for many many years. I've been going here for 21+ years. The food is very good. The breaded catfish is the best I've ever had anywhere, light, and not greasy. The service is always consistently good as well. Everyone who I have ever taken there has been pleasantly surprised. It's reasonable for the amount of food you get, but I wouldn't call it cheap. I highly recommend it.

Another Central Florida gem! This is a medium-sized, quaint, casual little place not too far from Orlando in St. Cloud. This place is very Southern-looking. I know that sounds crazy, but oddly enough, many people from Central and South Florida don't consider themselves to be Southern. Well, here, you'll feel like you're in the deep south. Why? Well, for one thing, the people have southern accents. For another thing, damn near everything is fried lovely-ness. And lastly, the give GREAT BIG portions. All of the seafood in fresh and cooked to order. They have traditional seafood items like shrimp, lobster, scallops, and catfish, but they also have more non-traditional (but equally delicious) items like turtle, gator, and frog legs. I sampled the frog legs, but had mixed scallop/oyster platter. It was TO DIE FOR! Everything was fried crispy, yet the meat was still tender, not chewy @ all like some places that fry their seafood so hard that you feel like you're eating shrimp-flavored bubble gum! They're sides, though mostly fried, are awesome as well. Their fried green tomatoes tasted like the best kinda pickled, deep fried, sweet/tart veggie you'll ever have. Oh, and the BEST side that they have is the hushpuppies. Those sonz of gunz will make you dance in your seat! Wash it all down with some lightly sweetened sweet tea, and it's a rap! You have had the best, most fry-lific experience of your life for under $20 bucks. I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing any grilled and/or baked options other than my sweet potato, so I wouldn't recommend going here very often, particularly if you're trying to lose or maintain your weight... Or keep your arteries from clogging (fried food is as fried food does); however, as a special treat, I HIGHLY recommend it!

I drive pass by this restaurant all the time and with high rating from Yelp I decided to give it a try with bunch of friends for lunch. I guess American seafood is primarily fried but they must have done the frying for a long time because the fresh catfish lunch I had was really good. The batter, or lack thereof, just enough to coat the fish without flaking it off, almost looks like it's part of the filet and it's so good (check picture). Just about everything else we had were fried except salad (surprised it came with it for lunch). The lady was extra nice although she looked serious gave us extra drink in pitchers and extra sides. You can buy some restaurant souvenirs after you eat and play musical chair (just chairs for people to sit and wait arranged in musical chair format). I'll definitely come back and try out other more expansive dishes, perhaps non-fried. I saw menu on the wall near the register showing raw seafood available as well but I was not sure of it: raw catfish! While we were there most of the customers were senior citizens and they offer senior citizen section of the menu as well. Salute!

This place is an Osceola County landmark. It represents the traditional cooking of "Old Florida". In addition to what you would expect like catfish, shrimp, oysters, scallops, they have all kinds of more exotic stuff on their menu - frog legs, gator tail, turtle. The food they serve is good to excellent. Portions are very large - I always have to carry about half my meal home in a box. Prices are reasonable. Almost all their clients are local because it's about 10 miles east of the tourist corridor. Servers are very friendly - mostly good ole gals who were born and raised in the area.

If you are ever in Florida this place is a MUST(less than an hour from Orlando)! Best fried catfish and hush puppies i've ever had. We ordered a plate with a little bit of everything: catfish, gator, turtle, shrimp, frog legs, scallops, and hush puppies. All deep fried and delicious. It was my first time trying gator and turtle...it really does taste like chicken! The fried okra was bomb too. As stated on the menu, they catch their gator, catfish etc from the near by Okeechobee lake. That must be why its so damn good. I am saddened that there isn't a catfish place like this back in California. You will be missed Catfish Place :(

Good food, the prices were a little high in my opinion. Lots of selections of fried food. The grits were "ok" but nothing to write home about. The hash browns were a good pairing with gator tail.

  • Natasha C.

If you've never had Old Florida style food, this is the place to try it at. From catfish to turtle and gator, all of the seafood and meats are fresh caught from Lake Okeechobee for the restaurant. The portions are huge too-- you can easily fill up and still have leftovers from most of their entrees. My favorites are the turtle, fried pickles, and sweet potato, but just about everything I've tried from there is good.

They have deep frying down to a science or maybe they have elevated it to an art? I'm not sure which. My family has visited this restaurant 4 or 5 times and never had anything we didn't like. The fried entree's are lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. We've never had a dish that was soggy or smelled of burnt / old oil. The interior is dated but it adds to the charm of this old florida restaurant. I have always felt if your going to name your restaurant after a dish or ingredient you had better get it right. Well I'm happy to report the cat fish place knocks it out of the park. Resist the urge to get the all you can eat catfish. I found the catfish dinner to be too much food. So I usually get the catfish sandwich. This place is a local favorite with good reason

it was definitely a cool local spot to try when driving in florida. This area is known to the alligators... so i thought, where else am i gonna get to eat a gator? so here we are. hubby and i had a platter of fried turtles, clam, alligator, fish, lobster, scallop and other stuff i don't quite remember. it was very interesting, some of the stuff had funny textures that i wasn't expecting. next time definitely should order a salad with this stuff... im not used to all the oily fried stuff, needs a balance. be brave and go have some gator!

OK. We frequent the kissimmee and Orlando area a couple of times a year. My dh's family lives there. They recommended this restaurant. The pictures on the yelp reviews looked really good. I ordered the catfish to share with my daughter. Son ordered the child's cheeseburger. Dh ordered hamburger steak. MIL ordered shrimp. My son and dh's hamburger meat were red and inedible. My fish was OK but I can get better at home. Fries were regular frozen crinkle cuts. Slaw had a funny taste to it and drowning in mayo. MIL's shrimp looked good. Salads were not fresh tasting. We had the fried dill pickles and they were good. Plus side they actually have good ole southern sweet ice tea...not the peach flavored tea you usually get if you order sweet tea in Florida. I was disappointed.

If you want a taste of Old Florida then this is the place to go! I'm from South Florida which is a vast difference from the older areas in Central and North Florida like Saint Cloud. There aren't many Old Florida Restaurants like this in my area where you can get Southern delights such as Gator, Turtle, Fresh fried catfish, hand breaded shrimp, and the most delicious hush puppies! This restaurant has been a staple in the area for many years, and now I see why! My parents always stop at this place when coming from or going to Orlando and Gainesville. They have always raved about it so I finally got to try it with them on a recent road trip. I'm normally not big on fried food but it had been way too long since I'd eaten catfish so I was excitied to have it again. I got the fried catfish and shrimp combo which was amazing! Although I'm use to eating salt water creatures I definitely eat seafood enough to be able to tell if it's fresh or not regardless of their environment. The menu read Fresh Catfish daily from Lake Okeechobee, (the huge lake that you see in the lower middle part of Florida on the map), so I figured I could taste if it really was that fresh. I remember having catfish in the past and it being kind of fishy but that was also with the bones in it which made it even worse! This on the other hand has now made me a catfish lover! Or at least a lover of their catfish and their restaurant! It definitely tasted like it went straight off the hook to the frying pan and had so much flavor! It didn't have a fishy taste at all and all the bones were removed. The shrimp which they hand bread daily was out of this world and the Hush puppies were so moist and flavorful, by far the best I've ever had! The prices are incredibly reasonable which is a big change for me being from South Florida where the seafood is great but you pay a pretty penny for it! There isn't much ambiance, St. Cloud is an old small town and most the businesses reflect that but I'll take the lack of ambiance for all the fried goodness they are serving up at such amazing prices! And of course I can't forget the good ole southern hospitality we received. The Catfish Place will now be a regular stop while traveling north!

Even if you aren't a huge fan of fried food you MUST eat here. The food is so unique and not overly breaded like some places. I never ever would have found this gem unless my cousins girlfriend at the time (now his wife) wouldn't have taken us here while on a visit. I do await my return to this wonderful place someday. I urge you to try a platter with everything, you won't be disappointed.

Referred by a local entrepreneur that this was the best place for Gator, turtle and frog legs. My wife and I had the gator and turtle appetizer which was great and the fried flounder and snapper for main course which we split. Topped it off with the berry cobbler which was awesome as well. The waitress was awesome! Couldn't ask for a better lunch! I highly recommend it!

An Old Florida seafood restaurant that is beloved by locals. My family & I came here in January 2010 and enjoyed all sorts of Old Florida seafood. The catfish was good, and can be prepared fried or blackened. We also ordered alligator, which was fried (popper style). It was a bit chewy, and I realized I like my gator blackened (where I had it in NOLA last year).

Went here with a 10% off coupon and glad we did. The crab legs, according to my youngest, were the best and they did have a whole lot of meat to them. I had the 3 fish choice and liked the clams and snapper but the catfish had a dirty-taste to it, not like I had had before. Apparently, they catch it at a local lake and it is fresh. The Mrs had oysters, prawns and catfish and enjoyed it well, except for the slight dirty taste of the catfish. The oldest had the large prawns and loved them. Place was very clean and service top-notch. Hush puppies are great and they have sweet tea, another plus. The portions, as a warning, are big! We'll be back!

This place is a St. Cloud staple. If you are going to eat here, everything on your plate should come from the fryer, because it is all hand battered, and the catfish is supplied locally. The croutons on the small house salad are homemade and delicious, although the salad, itself, is not spectacular. Gotta have hushpuppies!

Great! It's not fancy, just good fried seafood. And they had sweet tea! We even had a fish hater in our group and she loved the catfish fingers. On Monday & Tuesday they have several 2 for $15 lunch specials. And their hush puppies are great.

We did an Airport Tour while we were in Florida. Captain Scott at Orlando Airboat Tours was Amazing. We ask him where he would eat and he told us to go to the Catfish Place Restaurant...... What a delicious lunch we had. The food was Amazing and the service was very good. They have combination plates that allow you to try several things, which was really fun. It was also my friends birthday, they brought us out the very best Key Lime Pie I have ever had. Too bad we live in California, because I would eat there all the time if it was close..... YUMMY describes it best.

Located a few miles away from the Osceola Flea and Farmer's Market, the Catfish Place is a great place to stop and have lunch and dinner. According to the menu, the catfish, turtle, frog legs, and gator are all caught weekly in local lakes. I've had farm raised frog and gator before, and this definitely tasted fresh. We also had fried okra, which was fresh and not frozen. If you're looking for a good, old Florida style restaurant, I would definitely try the Catfish Place!

Fried alligator, turtle, frog, and catfish? If you're looking for a southern style hootenanny, look no further. Catfish Place is a hole in the wall, serving some of the best swamp food you can find. Friendly staff, only knock is that it was it was impossible to find.

Catfish, turtle, frog legs, shrimp, gator, and hushpuppies at their finest! No wonder they've been in business 42 years. They have Southern food dialed in. It's just too bad we live in Idaho or we'd eat here more often.

If all you want is some good fried seafood, this is your place. Fried fish, french fries, hush puppies, fried clam strips, fried shrimp....you name it, they fry it. And although it'll do a number on your arteries, everything tastes quite good. Service is prompt and friendly.

If you like good southern fried catfish, you'll love this place. Good and very friendly customer service. Hush puppies were crispy and sweet, pork chop was juicy, fish was fresh and not fishy.

Salute!

Not an every day eatery but I will be coming back.

it was definitely a cool local spot to try when driving in florida.

The food and service were very good. For a busy Saturday night we got out relatively quickly. The gator, turtle and catfish were all very tasty. I thought the frog legs were excellent. Best hush puppies I've ever had. Not as dry as usual with a hint of sweetness. Will definitely be back.

Having a late lunch with families and friends. We decide to eat at whole one wall place. I order fried pickles and lobster. Great fried foods but then, I decide to eat Southern fried chicken.
